Portland's Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW) showcases some of the most talented vocalists and musicians available, from the region and throughout the world. The repertory ensemble of CMNW includes strings, winds, piano and voice, and the artists present chamber music that spans four centuries, including performing in duos, trios and full ensembles. Each summer, CMNW hosts a five-week summer festival that includes 27 concerts and 39 free events. Throughout the year, they offer about 85 different events.

Of outstanding quality, this ballet company continues to rise to the expectations of critics throughout the region and the nation as well. From classics like Swan Lake and the company's yearly performance of The Nutcracker to edgier, more daring performances, the Oregon Ballet Theatre demonstrates a full range of skills. Performances are held at both the Keller Auditorium and the Newmark Theatre, both venues of the Portland Center for the Performing Arts.

Going strong for over 110 seasons, this renowned orchestra regales listeners with its winning combination of expert director, skilled performers and diverse programs. The orchestra employs 88 full-time musicians and plays for more than 320,000 people each year. The elegant Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, located at the corner of Broadway and Main in Portland's downtown, is home to the orchestra when they aren't touring. In addition to their normal schedule and touring calendar, the symphony hosts a number of special events throughout the year, including a Pops Concert and a Kids Concert.

Located at the Gerding Theater in the Portland Armory with well over 15 seasons under its belt, this theater company is one of Portland's jewels. It's one of the 25 largest regional theater companies in the United States and offers a unique mix of classical, contemporary and premiere works each season. This award-winning theater company also offers a yearly Summer Playwrights Festival.

The Portland Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) is the umbrella organization that includes five performance spaces in three buildings. These facilities include the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, affectionately known as "The Schnitz" and home to the Oregon Symphony Orchestra; the Newmark Theatre, home to performances by the Oregon Ballet Theatre; and Keller Auditorium, home to performances by both the Oregon Ballet Theatre and the Portland Opera.
